You’re never going to have enough skill points to do everything so that’s why it’s a good idea to pick up party members in taverns and let them develop the party skills. Levels have no real upper limit but they take longer to earn as you progress up the ranks. Or try the training fields, one near each faction capital. There’s one in every town and you can fight as much as you like. If you need to practice combat you should try the arena. It’s going to earn you a bit of money every week while you do whatever you want.
The best thing about getting a village as a fief is that you don’t have to worry about it. And if you need to build loyalty with a village you should try to speak to the village leader and do quests instead.
Until you’re comfortable with the game they’re most likely going to be nothing but a money sink. I wouldn’t worry too much over village upgrades. I think I would need a lot more points to get a higher leadership and do not know if the levels are going to come crawling in, or eventually if I will have more skill / stat points then I know what to do with. Its a good thing there is no friendly fire or I am sure I would be killing my own troops more than the enemy.Īlso, are you expected to get a lot of levels? I am like level 15 now (I am not exactly sure what level I am) and my charisma is only 12. I just swing wildly and sometimes get some kills. I am not good at hitting things with my 2h sword. My biggest weakness is in combat with my character. There is a doctor for loyalty, which again I am not sure the effect of that if the town already likes me. I can also do a manor, but I am not sure what value that has. It has a mill and is working on a messenger post. I am also upgrading my village, although it takes a long time. What if I assist a faction who is in a war with another faction I am neutral with? Will that be frowned upon by my king or will it start a war with my faction? I am just burning time until another war breaks out. It seems I will not get any more until my faction goes to war.
I have one village awarded to me by the king, but that is it.
